Frequently asked questions
Can I calculate my age on a past or future date?
Yes. Change "Age at the date of" to any historical exam/application cutoff date or any future retirement milestone date to see your exact age on that day.
Why do different months produce different day remainders?
Because calendar months vary from 28 to 31 days. From January 15 to February 15 is 1 calendar month (31 days), while from February 15 to March 15 in a common year is also 1 calendar month (28 days).
Does East Asian age counting differ from this calculator?
Traditional East Asian reckoning counts a newborn as 1 year old at birth and adds a year on New Year's Day, though South Korea officially adopted international chronological age (used here) in June 2023.
What is the 10,000th day milestone?
10,000 days of life occurs at roughly 27 years and 4.5 months of age—a popular personal milestone shown automatically in the breakdown table.
Does Daylight Saving Time affect the day count?
No. Calendar dates are evaluated in pure UTC calendar days so spring-forward (23-hour) and fall-back (25-hour) transitions never cause an off-by-one day error.
Is my date of birth stored anywhere?
No. All calculations happen privately in your browser memory and are never transmitted or logged.
